An advanced course for those who are designing and implementing water features on a regular basis or those intending to embark on creating a more complex formal pond or large natural lake and who are interested in the technical aspects of the process.

Learn How to Build a Garden Pond

Over the next 4 weeks I will be describing some of the processes and techniques I use in the technical design and construction of water gardens. Lectures 1 and 2 will be concerned with formal water gardens; ponds, rills, canal, fountains weirs and water walls. In lectures 3 and 4 the emphasis will be on informal pools, lakes, waterfalls and streams.

Learning outcome: Whether a designer or contractor, this course will enable you to design and specify your own water features, from formal ponds to large natural lakes.
